Art Exhibit
Artwork by the Guanlan Sisters
This is a collection of artwork created by Guanlan Sisters over the years.
In our affiliated NGO, the Shaanxi Children’s Benevolent Aid Center, there is an after-school program wherein art students from nearby local universities assist children in creating various forms of artwork. A prevalent stereotype regarding rural villagers in China revolves around their perceived lack of cultural exposure and how they are illiterate with little knowledge of art or music. Consequently, our partner NGO tries to challenge this stereotype by introducing children to the world of art at a young age and give them opportunities to make creative works of their own.
